Prof. Artūras Žukauskas

Prof. Artūras Žukauskas is an internationally known Lithuanian physicists. He graduate from Faculty of Physics of Vilnius University. In 1983 he received his Doctor degree and later in 1991 was awarded by Habilitation Dr. Degree in physics.  The main research activities and scientific interests of Prof. Artūras Žukauskas are concerned with optical properties of semiconductor materials and structures and applications of light-emitting diodes in lighting and measurements. Since 2011 he is the member of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences and since 2009 - Senior Member of IEEE.   His scientific results are highly recognized by number of awards, among them the Lithuanian National Prize in Science (2002). Since 2015 Prof. Artūras Žukauskas is Rector of Vilnius University.
