Dr. Elīna Pajuste
Born in 1983 May 17, Riga. Doctor degree of chemistry obtained at University of Latvia, Faculty of Chemistry, Riga, Latvia, 2012. In 2002 started work at Radiation chemistry of Solid State Laboratory of Solids, University of Latvia. Currently Deputy Director of the Institute of Chemical Physics and senior researcher at the Department of Radiation Processes of the Institute of Chemical Physics, UL. During 2009-2012 participation in EFDA Goal Oriented Training Program “Breeding Blanket Development for Fusion Reactors”. Since 2014 is expert of Latvian Academy of Science, radiation chemistry, and member of EURO fusion Consortium project board. In 2015 was involved in the development of the strategic agenda of Research Programme of the UL and since 2015 contact person from Latvia in “European Concerted Program on Radiation Protection Research –CONCERT (Horizon 2020, EC), and member of working group “Radon estimation and radon programme of action of Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development of the RL. In 2010 L`Oréal Latvian Fellowship for Women in Science, whereas in 2014 Werner von Siemens Excellence award for the doctoral thesis.
